Have you ever been to a barbecue cook-off only to learn that unless you have been invited by one of the teams, you can't taste the barbecue?? Well...a Rib Burn-Off changes all of that. The competing teams will be firing up their pits and basting slabs of ribs for the public to sample. Barbecue afficianodos can purchase tickets to trade for ribs from each of the 40+ teams. Food tickets are $1.25 each. Ribs can be purchased for two tickets each. The rib Money will be returned to the teams as follows, 75% to the team for selling the ribs and 25% into the Grand Prize money. There will be a separate booth where several side items and beverages will be available for one ticket each. Ribs will be available for sale to the public on Friday from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and on Saturday from noon until the ribs run out! During the Rib Burn-Off, teams that have ribs available will display a red flag on the front of their booth.
Fire and Ice "Spirit" Award - This very special award will be given to the team that sells the most Fire and Ice Rib Burn-Off admission tickets in advance (more about this later)
Awards will be given to the team with the " Top Ticket Box", "Top Rib Wranglers", " Prize Pig Stand", and the "Texas Rib Master" award and red bandannas for each team member will go to the team that sells the most ribs. All of the rib revenue will be paid out to the teams according to the number of tickets they collect.
In addition to the rib competition, the teams will be competing in several other catagories.
Bubba Games - always something new and hilarious, the things people will do for an official Bubba Games T-shirt??????????
Barn Dance - Saturday night with a live band and lots of boot scootin'
Hay Ride - Friday night old school hayride for kids and adults
Bonfire - Saturday night sit around the fire and enjoy country livin'
Ice Sculpture - Saturday afternoon performance, why do you think they call it Fire and ICE.
